It was the very first night of Chinese New Year 2015 and I had just gotten back from photographing the rice terraces outside the village when I started seeing the kids light their sparklers and chasing each other around with them. The kids were probably more interested in my camera than their sparklers. What I really liked was how cooperative they were whenever I asked them to hold a pose, but then they would come running toward me to ask me to show them the picture I just shot. I was extremely lucky when I shot this one of little Yao-Yao dazzled by her sparkler after I helped her light it.
