On my first day in Guilin, I was sort of in a hurry to find whatever peak I could find to catch a good view of the karst mountains for my first time. I somewhat doubted that there would be any nearby mountains as they say there are, but I was blown away as soon as I climbed up Duxiu Peak and found out how close I was to them after all. The day had been shrouded in fog and mist, so I was extremely optimistic as soon as I began to climb the peak and saw the skies start to turn magenta. I quickly descended from the peak soon after I took this photo and headed right in the direction of those mountains to see if I could climb them for a better sunset photo. I didn't have a single clue what I was doing once I arrived because I decided improvising my destinations would make my travel experiences much more exciting.
