After the skies cleared up tonight, I finally starting seeing glimmering in areas of the sky where I don't usually see stars. I waited for my eyes to adjust for a little longer and before I realized it, I was looking right at the Milky Way right in the middle of the sky. I feel accomplished tonight only because I'd been trying to capture a photo of the Milky Way with this much clarity for about a year now since most of the places I visit suffer from light pollution. I'm glad I also didn't have to go far to shoot this photo because I shot this right in my backyard.
